Official info →Getting to the stadium
Estadio Akron is in Zapopan, west of central Guadalajara. By transit, ride the Mi Macro Periférico BRT toward the Estadio Chivas stop, then walk to the gates. From the Centro the full trip runs roughly an hour, so leave early on match day.
From the airport
Guadalajara airport (GDL) sits well southeast of the stadium — 30–40 min on a normal day, but budget an hour or more on match day. Rideshare and taxis are easy from the terminal.
Where to stay
Base yourself in the Centro Histórico (steps from the Fan Festival) or in Zapopan / Providencia / Chapalita for quicker stadium access. Hotel demand peaks around the June 18 Mexico game and the June 26 Uruguay–Spain fixture.
Watch for free downtown
No ticket? Head to Plaza Liberación. The FIFA Fan Festival shows matches free, all tournament long, in the heart of the city — no ticket or registration needed.
