Toronto.

Toronto hosts six matches at BMO Field — branded "Toronto Stadium" for the tournament — including Canada's group-stage opener against Bosnia and Herzegovina, the first men's World Cup game ever played on Canadian soil. The free FIFA Fan Festival runs the full tournament at Fort York and The Bentway (free entry, with a timed reservation required).

Getting Around

The smart-money logistics.

Take transit to the stadium

BMO Field and the Fan Festival sit at Exhibition Place on the waterfront. Ride the TTC streetcar (509/511) or take GO Transit to Exhibition Station — driving and parking near the lakeshore on match days is brutal.

Two airports

Toronto Pearson (YYZ) is the main international gateway, ~30 min by the UP Express train to Union Station downtown. Billy Bishop (YTZ) on the Toronto Islands is closer to the core for short-haul flights.

Where to stay

Stay downtown (Entertainment District, Harbourfront, or King West) for walkable access to the waterfront venues and nightlife; everything connects via streetcar and the UP Express.

Bring ID and a transit card

You're crossing into Canada — carry a passport. Load a PRESTO card or tap a contactless card for TTC/GO fares, and note all venue times are Eastern (one hour ahead of US Central).
