World Cup host city
MetLife Stadium just across the river in East Rutherford, NJ is the biggest prize of the whole tournament — it hosts the World Cup FINAL on July 19. No USA group games land here, but if the USMNT goes deep, this is where the trophy gets lifted. Eight matches total run through the Meadowlands.

NJ Transit runs the Meadowlands Rail Line from Secaucus Junction straight to the stadium on event days — transfer there from NY Penn Station. Driving and parking into the Meadowlands on a World Cup match day will be brutal and pricey.
Newark (EWR) is closest to the stadium
Newark Liberty is the nearest of the three major airports to East Rutherford; JFK and LaGuardia are farther out in Queens. From any of them, AirTrain + NJ Transit or the subway gets you to the action without a rental car.
Stay near a PATH or transit line
Base in Jersey City / Hoboken (PATH to Manhattan, close to the NJ fan hub) or Midtown Manhattan (near the Rockefeller Center fan village). Rooms near transit beat being stranded by surge pricing and street closures.
Use the official Concierge for free events
The Host Committee's NYNJ World Cup site at nynjfwc26.com maps free and low-cost fan zones across all five boroughs plus NJ — the canonical source for what's actually open each day.
