San Francisco Bay Area.

Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara hosts six World Cup matches — five group-stage games plus a Round of 32. The USA isn't playing here, but the Bay Area Host Committee is running 30+ free, public fan zones from San Francisco to Santa Cruz, Oakland to San Jose — several built specifically around USA match days.

Getting Around

The smart-money logistics.

Take Caltrain or VTA to the stadium

The stadium is in Santa Clara, not SF. From San Francisco, take Caltrain south then VTA light rail, or drive ~45 min. There's no direct BART line to the stadium.

Skip stadium parking on match days

Stadium lots are pricey and gridlocked after matches. Transit or rideshare drop-offs are far less painful — plan the return trip before you arrive.

Stay where the action is, commute to the game

Santa Clara/San Jose hotels are closest to the stadium; SF puts you near the Chase Center and downtown fan zones. Most nightlife and fan zones are in SF and San Jose.

Three airports serve the region

SFO, San Jose (SJC) and Oakland (OAK) all feed the Bay. SJC is closest to the stadium; SFO connects via BART and Caltrain.
